In response to the growing need for collaboration between statisticians and environmental epidemiologists, Jim Zidek (UBC) and I have written a book that links recent developments in spatio-temporal methodology with epidemiological applications.
Drawing on real-life problems, it provides the necessary tools to exploit advances in methodology when assessing the health risks associated with environmental hazards.
The book has now been published by CRC press and details can be found here.
An interview about the book recorded just before publication can be seen here.
Yi Liu won the best student presentation award at the Environmetrics conference in Guangzhou, China. Further details can be found here.
